Flow Monitoring

GBA owns and operates a large inventory of today’s most sophisticated flow and rainfall monitoring equipment to measure actual system flow rates and volumes during dry- and wet-weather conditions. Special emphasis is placed on site calibration and quality control of meter functions for accurate measurement of flows. Flow monitoring is very useful in prioritizing areas for I/I source identification activities and computer model calibration.

GBA provides clients with the full range of flow monitoring services, including
  • Development of flow and rainfall monitoring networks
  • Installation, servicing, and removal of temporary and permanent flow meters
  • Design of telemetry systems for real-time surveillance of monitoring sites
  • Analysis of flow, rainfall, and groundwater data
  • Hydraulic gradient (surcharge) analysis
  • Inventory of system record data
  • Hydraulic capacity modeling

Flow monitoring enables GBA to evaluate effectiveness of renewal improvements.
