GBA's Quality Assurance observers are certified as Registered Roof Observers (RROs) and Registered Roof Consultants (RRCs) through the Roof Consultants Institute (RCI). Working on behalf of the owner, occupants, and design consultants, they monitor and document the installation of the roofing system and materials used to assure that the roofing system is installed exactly as specified.

Working on the owner's behalf, they provide important benefits such as:

• Keep owner informed of progress throughout construction.
• Record all variables that might affect the project including weather, crew, daily production, etc.
• Verify compliance with specifications, helping to ensure that the contractor is utilizing the correct materials and is installing them per the specifications and manufacturer's guidelines.
• Enforce the owner's standards, helping to ensure that the contractor complies with any conditions set by the owner such as building access, parking, site access, etc.
• Help ensure that materials are installed in a quality manner.
