For the past six years, our Kansas City-area offices have elected to support the “Christmas in October” program. This locally based volunteer organization has rehabilitated houses of low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled, in the Kansas City community for 21 years. The organization relies completely on other local organizations, corporations, and individual volunteers to fix up hundreds of houses before winter sets in. Since the program began, volunteers for "Christmas in October" have improved more than 6,000 homes in neighborhoods throughout the metro area.
