Data Center Market Sector Leader
GBA is seeking an individual to facilitate expansion of our data center market. We currently have a strong client base in the telecommunications sector and wish to capitalize on our technical expertise and past data center experience to re-enter the data center marketplace. The position will emphasize business development. Ideally the role will grow with the business to include project management and team leadership as well.

The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience, possess a strong technical background in data center design, existing contacts in this market sector, and proven skills in business development, client relationship building and maintenance, and project oversight. Project management and team leadership skills and experience are desirable. Active participation in related industry organizations and prior published articles in the data center arena would be a plus. The candidate should be a licensed professional engineer or architect. Civil Engineer (Lisle, IL & St. Louis, MO area offices)

GBA has an opportunity available for an individual that is most qualified for either of the following positions:

• Highway or traffic design leader. This individual must have an IL PE. The traffic position also requires a PTOE.

Requirements:

• A BSCE
• At least 5 years of Civil Engineering experience
• At least 5 years of experience working on IDOT projects
• Experience managing projects and leading others
• Strong technical ability with design software

Structural Engineer—Bridge Group Leader (Lisle, IL & St. Louis, MO area offices)

We are looking for a Bridge Group Leader to develop a Bridge Design Group. This person will have to manage the investigation and design processes for bridge projects in Illinois. Some of the key roles will be to:

• Lead the bridge group
• Market for bridge projects
• Coordinate with the road design, waterway and drainage groups as projects require
• Have full project management responsibility including proposals, programming, technical control, financial control and client liaison

Requirements:

• A BSCE
• This individual must have an IL SE.
• At least 5 years of bridge related experience
• At least 5 years of experience working on IDOT projects
• Experience managing projects and leading others
• Strong technical ability with design software

O'Fallon, MO

Building Official

GBA has a part-time career opportunity available in our O’Fallon, MO office. Responsibilities include inspection of residential, commercial and industrial buildings; code enforcement; plan review; report preparation; and record maintenance. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and minimum relevant 2 years experience in the inspection and enforcement of ICC building codes and certification as an ICC certified building official. Job requires travel from one job site to another.

Lisle, Illinois

Omaha, NE
FULL-TIME

Field Technician
The position consists of completing inspections of sanitary and storm sewers and the installation of flow monitoring equipment. The position will be part of a 2 or 3 person field team.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing, be capable of working outdoors year round, and have the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 80 pounds). Extensive travel may be required and periodic exposure to raw sewage and entry in confined spaces is probable.

Preferred Skills: An applicant with previous experience and training in the use of flow monitoring equipment, confined space, and certifications in PACP and MACP by NASSCO is desired.

Technical Requirements: The successful candidate must be able to:

• read detailed field maps and efficiently move between project sites
• operate handheld digital data loggers, laptop computers, still and video cameras
• operate hand tools for the installation of flow metering equipment
• have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel computer software
• communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
